Late Nights in Minnetonka

The Wild Turkeys entered their third game after a 1-1 split with two of their oldest league rivals, losing to Alliance and beating Ballz Deep, respectively. Playing against a bunch of crafty veterans in Team Streicher's, the Wild Turkeys put up offensive numbers not seen in years.

The young ump decided to let the previous game go until 9:40, so we didn't get our 9:15 game started until a quarter to ten. The Turkeys put up big numbers in each inning, taking a 30-17 lead into the bottom of the sixth. Team Streicher's hit a 3 run homerun with two outs, but seconds later the city of Minnetonka turned the lights out on us. Game.... over..? Alright, we'll take it. So, the Turkeys come out of the gate with a respectable 2-1 start and are ready to start the doubleheader portion of their schedule as soon as the Incans return from the Motherland.

HGH! Power Bars! Muscle Milk!!

What happened to the Turkeys on Tuesday night?? After several weeks of poor play, and the most embarrassing defeat in their history, the Turkeys beat CPC 18-8 in the first game, followed by an 18-6 win over Cargill Dow. The second game featured a 15 run 3rd inning by the Turkeys. What the dingus, heck I don't know. Just some solid hitting and good fielding and over 40 beers on the bench = 2-0 on the night. So what who cares.

Hopefully this carries over into broomball, because we're now 4-5 and have nothing to play for besides the dignity of .500 softball.
